Saturday, October 22, Vinnytsia regional branch of the International public organization "Ukraine-Poland-Germany" completed a three-day press tour to historical places of stay "Europeans Vinnytsia region" organized in the framework of historical-regional project "European region". Recall that the project involves the search, compilation, dissemination and popularization of historical information about famous European leaders, born or, in a particular period of his life, were in Podolia and manufacture of a range of information materials. So, it is planned to create a historical and tourist maps of A1 size which will be marked all the places where he lived, or in a given period were "Europeans of the region" and similar brand-ox, which will be transferred to the Vinnytsia regional Museum of local lore, the seal of the bilingual (Ukrainian-English) booklets with 5000 copies for distribution to educational institutions, libraries and Museum institutions of the region. "Our project is a great chance to introduce the public of the region with the outstanding figures of the Ukrainian-European history, which at one time or another were in Podolia and left a number of samples of material culture, most of which – monuments of architecture of Ukraine", – said the coordinator of the project "European region" Alexey Gavrilov. During Saturday's press-tour representatives of mass media of the region visited a number of historical sites that are directly connected with citizens that are somehow relevant to the socio-economic and cultural formation of Europe. So, journalists were able to see the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the blessed virgin Mary in the village of Murafa and the Church. Florian in the city Sharhorod Sharhorod district, the Church-tomb Potocki in sec. Cave Tulchinsky district, the Palace of Princess Mary Scherbatova in Nemyriv Nemirovsky district and many other cultural monuments. Note that the project "European region" was made possible thanks to the support of the regional state administration and partially funded by the regional budget.
