In the Transcarpathian region a systematic work of prosecutors on the protection of forests in interests of the state continues
prosecutors region in August-September of the current year in the sphere of protection of forest resources, initiated 9 criminal proceedings on the facts of abuse by officials of the forest service in the performance of their official duties’relations. In particular, Uzhgorod local Prosecutor's office on 17 August initiated criminal proceedings against officials of the Transcarpathian regional forestry and hunting management and GP “Uzhgorod LG” on the grounds of committing a criminal offense under part 2 St. 364 criminal code of Ukraine - abuse of power or official position. Losses to the interests of the state in the criminal proceedings amount to more than 700 thousand UAH. Typical violations that are the subject of investigation of criminal processes, there are facts of illegal felling of trees in the exercise of sanitary measures in the forests, namely the illegal removal of trees for clear sanitary felling, including in the framework about’objects of natural reserve Fund of national importance without the availability of permits for special use of natural resources, since these areas there is a special mode of management. In addition, prosecutors are taking measures to prevent illegal felling of trees under the guise of sanitary felling. So, Khust local prosecutors in the court stated a claim for cancellation of the logging ticket issued in the area of 3 hectares, with a total kuromasu 780 m3, worth more than 332 thousand. The case is considered by economic court of the Transcarpathian region. The local prosecutors ' offices for the protection of the environment to the courts before'revealed claims for the sum about 2 million UAH, including on the protection of forest resources - 657 thousand UAH. This year, the courts considered and granted, including terminated with voluntary reimbursement, the claims of prosecutors in a total sum over 2 million UAH. For example, the economic court of the Transcarpathian region supported the position of the Prosecutor of the region, as a representative of state interests in the case of a dispute regarding the illegal use of forest resources in Uganska national nature Park administration of the institution.
