Rivne region: the seminar "Features of youth employment on the first job"

October 25, Rivne regional employment center together with Rivne regional Association of citizens "Center for support of public initiatives "Chaika" at the invitation of the Department of employment and career guidance, National University of water management and natural resources held a training seminar "Features of youth employment on the first working place" for future graduates of the institution. Head of Department of active support of unemployed Svetlana Zhovnir started the seminar with the fact that after graduating from the University graduates there comes a time to realize themselves professionally. The theme of youth employment has always been important and difficult, especially when there is an imbalance between labour demand and the qualification structure of the unemployed. In addition, the inability to present oneself to the employer, to focus his attention on their knowledge and to convince that they are worthy to occupy the vacancy, does not allow young people to find work and find a job after graduation. In this case, the assistance young people can come to the employment service. The employment center they will be able to see the available vacancies, to participate in career guidance activities, in particular to attend seminars on job search and resume writing, and use other employment services. Coordinator of youth projects Oksana Salvonic familiarized the participants with the risks of youth employment. In addition, students learned about one of the most serious crimes in the world – human trafficking for commercial operation. The current economic situation, the large difference in wages in Ukraine and other countries, the spread of poverty among the working population, high unemployment is a significant cause of the departure of young people outside Ukraine in search of work. The coach gave the audience practical advice on safe migration and prevent entry into slavery. Therefore, the participants of the seminar watched a documentary "Life for sale", which is based on real stories of trafficked people, and made for a well-balanced conclusions.
