In Vinnytsia region for the harvest of 2017 have been planted almost 80 % of the grain
including in all categories of farms with the projected planting acreage of winter grain – 383.6 thousand hectares already sown for grain 302,8 thousand hectares, - said the Director of the Department of agriculture of the regional state administration Mykola Neily. According to the official, winter wheat with the projected area 337,2 thousand hectares were sown – 274,4 thousand hectares (81.4% of the forecast), and (in 2015 – 103,3 %); winter rye with the projected area of 1.4 thousand hectares planted on an area of 947 hectares (66.5% of the forecast) (in 2015 – 111.4 percent); winter barley with a projected area by 43.1 thousand hectares were sown – 27.4 thousand ha (62,3 % of the forecast) (in 2015 – 107,0 %). Additionally, with the projected area of sowing of winter rape 62.8 thousand hectares sown to 68.3 thousand hectares (108.8% of the forecast) (in 2015 – 72,8 %). Also the Vinnytsia region farmers have already prepared the soil under winter plowing in the area – 820,8 thousand hectares (74.0% of the forecast) (forecast 1108,4 ha) namely, deep plowing – 59,3 thousand ha (97.1% of the forecast), including TS/beets – 49,1 thousand hectares (98.5% of the forecast) (forecast -49,8 thousand hectares).
