In Vinnytsia region reported suspected person for the unlawful felling of the tree
Vinnytsia local Prosecutor's office is performed procedural management in criminal proceedings on signs of the crime provided by article 246 of the Criminal code of Ukraine, on the fact of illegal felling of trees in the forest belt on the border of two villages of the Vinnytsia area. Thanks to the effective teamwork of the group of prosecutors and the investigative Department of the Vinnytsia police Department illegal transaction is disclosed and documented. The results of the events based on the collected evidence, the inhabitant of one of villages of the Vinnytsia region reported about suspicion in Commission of the criminal offense under article 246 of the Criminal code of Ukraine - illegal felling of trees in protecting plantations that have caused significant harm. Pre-trial investigation found that for nearly seven months above-mentioned “male”, using pre-prepared vehicles and equipment, as well as misled by the hired workers without any permits, organized felling 140 live oaks that were cut from the stump and removed. Such actions caused to environment damage for the sum over 1 million hryvnias. Currently, measures are being taken for speedy completion of the investigation and is preparing a lawsuit to seek compensation for nature damage.
