In Chernihiv held a charity event "Creativity gives a chance"
Chernihiv city Council held a press-conference of representatives of leading public organizations of the city who take care of children with special needs. The participants reported conducting the first large-scale charity art event "Creativity gives you a chance." The press conference was attended also by Deputy mayor Olexandr Lomako, Deputy of city Council Regina Husak, representatives of higher education institutions, businesses and journalists. The organizer of action - the head of the Chernihiv city Association of disabled people "Chance" Svetlana Fedorova told that the charity creative action "works gives us a chance" is carried out jointly with other public organizations for the purchase of a bus with a lift which will provide the freedom of movement of persons with disabilities. She also told about the main stages of this campaign. The first stage concerned residents have the opportunity to join the action, to present their creative work (painting, embroidery, wood, clay, dough etc.) that you want to bring to the point of their admission. During the second stage, in the framework of the celebrations for the International day of persons with disabilities, held a Charity auction in which sponsors and patrons will be able to purchase a collection of interesting. The event will be held December 2 at the City Palace of culture. All funds will be used for the purchase of a specialized vehicle. In the city of Chernihiv, home to more than 30 thousand people with disabilities, among them about 3 thousand - confined to bed and wheelchair. Children with disabilities – about the 1st thousands, 270 of them move in wheelchairs. Deputy mayor Oleksandr Lomako sincerely thanked all the organizers and participants of this event and assured that the city government will always be with particular attention to any handling and project from public organizations that help people with special needs. He also urged all city residents to participate in charity art events. As noted by the participants of the press conference, acquiring a specialized vehicle with a lift is necessary, because in most families there are no funds for a taxi for wheelchair users and every day a problem to get to the hospital to visit the circle, concert, theatrical production or tour. The estimated cost of such a new car from a reliable European manufacturer is 70 thousand Euro. The Deputy of the Chernihiv city Council, Director of the Chernihiv education and rehabilitation center No. 2 Regina Husak said that her students are also actively joined the action and with great inspiration made products in a variety of artistic techniques. The candidate of pedagogical Sciences, associate Professor of social work of NNI's rights and social technologies JNTU, head of student social services Tatiana Decyk stressed that for students of the faculty of social work participation in this promotion is not just a manifestation of humanity, tolerance and kindness - this is an opportunity to gain practical experience of organizing and conducting charity projects.
