I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday - all-Ukrainian day of workers of culture and folk art masters. Culture is the soul of the city. Each community seeks to position itself in the wide world. Our common mission is to preserve the Chernihiv historical center of Slavic and Cossack civilizations, its unique ancient monuments of history and culture. Chernigov has a powerful cultural potential, which contributed Leonid Glebov, Michael kotsjubinsky, Pavlo Tychyna, Gregory Rope and many other world-known artists. And from year to year, the spiritual Treasury of the city, enriched the course of history, multiplied cultural and artistic achievements. One of the most important tasks of culture – shaping of the Ukrainian nation, strengthen the national memory and identity. It is very symbolic that now the day of workers of culture is celebrated along with the Day of Ukrainian writing and language in one day. Our city needs a modern, competitive culture, which corresponds to European standards, but is based on powerful traditions of our countrymen and priceless treasures of our people.
