Two years ago for the first time in the history of Ukraine has earned a powerful, transparent and based on European principles a Government program of support of the population and condominiums to the implementation of energy efficiency measures. it is recognized as one of the real achievements of Ukrainian reforms. That is the conclusion of Reanimation package of reforms (RPR). "the fact that the largest coalition of leading public organizations and experts of Ukraine – RPR – allocated among dozens of other achievements and the program for energy efficiency, evidence of the correctness of Government actions that companies entered the program this financial assistance for housing insulation, the implementation of other measures for saving energy and improving living conditions", - said the Chairman of the Saee Serhiy Savchuk. With the beginning of the program, from October 2014 to November 2016, Government assistance for insulation already used by more than 180 thousand of Ukrainian families. Together they attracted more than 2.6 billion UAH. to conduct energy efficiency measures. From the Government, program participants received more than UAH 1 billion non-repayable financial assistance. Among program participants, and hundreds of tenants of apartment buildings. The government benefited 485 condominiums that have mastered more than 61 million UAH for heat insulation of houses. Saee conducted in cooperation with USAID and IFC projects to study the effectiveness of the program confirmed that the participants do attract funds for the implementation of energy efficiency measures and achieve substantial energy savings. For example, according to respondents, condominiums, a full insulation of high-rise buildings have allowed their residents to halve heating bills. In turn, private households, who also provided a comprehensive thermal modernization of their homes could nearly halve gas consumption. Realizing the relevance of the program, the Government planned its sequel in 2017. The relevant draft decision of the Government has already prepared the Saee.
