Army contract: incentives and safeguards
During military service by contract servicemen of ordinary, Sergeant and petty officers in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On social and legal protection of servicemen and members of their families" dated 21.12.91 ¹ 2011-XII (with amendments) are eligible for the following incentives: * Housing at the expense of the state. * Material support in accordance with defined standards. * Use of annual basic vacations with the preservation of financial, material support and financial assistance for rehabilitation in the amount of monthly salary. * Obtaining the installation grant in the amount of monthly salary to a soldier and 50 percent of monthly salary for each family member of the serviceman who moves with him to a new place of military service, when moving to a new place of military service in another locality in connection with appointment to a military position, enrollment in the military school, the training period which is not less than six months, or in connection with the relocation of the military unit. * Security personnel on contract with a free lunch during working days (or monetary compensation in the amount of the set of products for cooking dinner). * Free medical assistance in military medical establishments of health protection . * The right to health resort treatment and rest in sanatoria, rest houses, boarding houses and on tourist bases of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine (once a year). * Education in institutions of higher education (higher military educational establishments without disengagement from the military service (for correspondence courses). * The right to a pension regardless of age if they have on the day of dismissal from the service the length of service of 25 years or more or in the presence of a seniority of 25 years or more, of which not less than 12 calendar years and 6 months of military service.
