Chernivtsi: the Documentary exhibition devoted to the heroic family of the poles will open at the Art Museum

Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Vinnitsa, together with the Chernivtsi regional art Museum, regional society of the Polish culture. A. Mickiewicz and the Chernivtsi Museum of history and culutre of the Jews of Bukovina in Chernivtsi present a photo exhibition"Samaritans with Markova". For the Polish people, the family of Victoria and Jozef Olmw, who sacrificed his life for the salvation of others –the real heroes. In the Polish village of Markova, where they lived, Ulmi, the Museum of poles who saved Jews during the occupation of Poland by the Nazis during World war II. Family Ulmw despite the fact that she had six children, tried to save two Jewish families. Ulmw entire family for harboring Jews in 1944, shot together with the Jewish families.
