In Zhitomir on December 8, held a training workshop on thermal modernization and energy efficiency in residential buildings. The representatives of Polish companies, institutions, condominiums share their experience regarding the regulation, financing and energy saving technologies. The seminar was attended by Chairman of Zhytomyr regional state administration Igor Gundich, Zhytomyr city mayor Sergei Suhomlin, Deputy President of the Polish-Ukrainian chamber of Commerce Andrzej Drozd and Oleg Dubish, businesses, financial institutions, government bodies and condominiums. The Chairman of regional state administration Igor Gundich stressed that will initiate next year the audit institutions, which will be thermo to see real savings in energy and to determine those objects that most need insulation. "Now the Zhytomyr region in the leading state in implementing energy efficient technologies. 128 boiler transferred to an alternative fuel, is already saving more than 165 million per year. But we must understand that energy independence is not only events that we hold centrally and in the institutions of the social sphere, and personal energy efficiency in our homes, understanding of the need for insulation of houses, replacement of Windows, boilers," – said Igor Gundich. According to him, only in 2016 in Zhytomyr issued 3336 "warm loans" amounting to more than 53 million. It gives all the chances for a successful large-scale thermal modernization of residential sector in the region. As says Andrzej Drozd, thermo is not a question of "want or do not want." It is a question of when, how and by what methods. Moreover, it is not only energy efficiency but also the comfort of residents, and the aesthetic appearance of buildings.
