December 8, Vinnytsia oblast public organization "Association of protection and assistance to the disabled "Open hearts" held a "round table" "the Work of service groups support and assist people with severe disabilities – a necessary condition for successful socialization and integration". In the West, which took place on the eve of International day of people with disability, presents the results of the service groups of the help and support of people with functional limitations in the framework of the project "We are close", which is implemented with the support of the regional state administration and regional Council. Recall that the public organization "Open hearts" was one of 12 winners of the contest from the definition of the program developed by the institutions of civil society, which provides financial support in 2016 at the expense of means of the regional budget, which is traditionally held every year by the Department of information activities and communications with the public RSA. The program was designed to provide access to people with functional limitations to new individual, quality service support and assistance, and promote awareness among students on the needs and capabilities of people with disabilities, development of spirit of tolerance, volunteerism and philanthropy through participation in the training exercises for obtaining a skills assistance, support in daily life for people with severe disabilities. According to the Deputy Director of the Vinnitsa regional center of social-psychological rehabilitation of children and youth with functional limitations "Horizon", and program coordinator Natalia Golovko, the sensation of acute shortage in our country of service groups that support people with disabilities gave an impetus to the writing and implementation of the program "We are next". The program allowed to improve the quality of public service provision in Vinnytsia region, has strengthened the spirit of tolerance and volunteering in the community, served as a significant support to families in which people live with severe disabilities on the removal of psychological and physical stress.
