What will be the waste treatment plant in Chernihiv ( PRODUCTION PROCESS)

As previously reported, Chernihiv mayor reached agreement with the Polish investors who are willing to build in Chernihiv recycling plant. Last week at a joint news conference they presented the project to journalists and the public. The company should be similar to that which operates in the Polish city of Poznan. Its technology and facilities are designed to not only recycle the garbage that is thrown Chernigov every day, but to gradually solve the problem of the existing landfills. As you know, it is already filled and is also the source of constant danger through periodic fires produce toxic smoke. The Polish company JSC "he", the Chairman of the Board of which Wojciech Wenzlau participated in the briefing in the city Council, is a developer and manufacturer of equipment for modern waste treatment plants. The technology of processing at which they operate, is environmentally friendly and does not involve incineration. But it is crushed and heated in a special boiler, cavity between the double walls which are filled with preheated to 120°C steam. As a result, kill all the microorganisms, debris vaporizes approximately 60% moisture and decreases in volume. It is sterilized and loses its smell, and is divided (even metal objects to clean from the paint). Further, in another shop, is sorting the resulting mass. It is important that all the mechanical segregation – that is, all makes special equipment, manual labor there. The output is 8 substances separated waste, which are secondary raw materials. Thus, the product becomes to about 95% recyclable. In particular, glass, metal and plastic may be offered at special plants, and the biomass used as fuel. Wojciech Wenzlau: - Western technologies that were adopted in Poland as well, tell us about that the waste should be burned. But in the West these institutions to incineration are closed, even though we have advocated the opposite. We began to explore this question. Here there are two trends: the first is when the garbage is burned. But then the gas formed, which cannot be 100% filtered. Now so manipulated, supposedly you can measure this gas, the interest part to look at. And so widely does not say this, but these gases are provoking the threat of growing cancer. And the second trend suggests that it is possible not to burn, and to use this garbage and to have this benefit. At a briefing in Chernihiv city mayor said that as the site for the location of the future plant considered two options: or the location of on-site CHP where there is 9 hectares of land, or near existing landfills. The advantage of the first option is the possibility of using hot steam from the CHP, the advantage of the other transportation costs. The final decision on the venue should be made after more detailed calculations, made by specialists. This week in Chernigov should come from Poland specialists to work together on the project. The cost of the plant up to 35 million euros. It will try to do less due to the rational use of funds. For the plant construction the investor is going to take them to a Polish Bank in a loan at 3% per annum. The city of Chernihiv will have to pay the loan and interest within ten years is about 120 million hryvnia annually. At the same time, spending on plant operations decreased due to the sale of secondary raw materials.
