The heads of the printed publications of Transcarpathia discussed the problems of reforming public media
the Reform of municipal and state media, prospects of development of regional media became a topic of discussion of the round table meeting, held December 13 in the Transcarpathian regional state administration. Participation in the event was attended by the heads of the communal press of the region, experts and representatives of the Executive authorities. The Director of the Department of information activities and public relations of the regional state administration Yaroslav galas, opening the meeting, stressed the importance of privatization of the media. He noted that this process is a unique experience that will create a competitive environment for the media, ensure the independence of editorial policy and management. Dmytro Vorobets, the Chairman of the regional organization of National Union of journalists of Ukraine noted, the Association is concerned with the preservation of regional press as a component of the national information space. The focus is on the protection of journalists ' rights, of property in the process of denationalization. During the round table lawyers clarification of articles of the Law "On reforming state and communal printed media". Those present also discussed the issues of registration of agreements on the coverage of the authorities, the optimal form of management in the reformed editions. They talked about measures of the state authorities in this matter, the criteria of financial support for the publications after the reform. The heads of printed editions during the meeting discussed professional issues and agreed to cooperate in particular on the exchange of information between editions and reference materials.
