In Zhytomyr presented a book about the Chernobyl tragedy.
In Zhytomyr, of 13 December, on the eve of the Day honoring the participants of liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl accident, held a presentation of the publication "the Book of Memory of Ukraine. The Chernobyl tragedy. Zhytomyrska oblast". Deputy Chairman of Zhytomyr regional state administration Yaroslav Laguta thanked all those who performed the work associated with the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident, and those who worked to create the book. "we can learn a little information about those who saved not only us, Ukraine and the whole world from global catastrophe. If we remember, then we are on the right track and the future of our state is," he said. On the pages of the publication listed the names of more than 8.5 thousand participants of liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl accident residing in the region or died within 30 years. Before the lists of names of the liquidators of each of the town and district served brief information about the contribution of the district (city) in overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl accident, descriptions of individual episodes, which showed courage and heroism of our countrymen. Stewardship over the materials to that of the "Chernobyl tragedy," was carried out by the regional editorial Board headed by Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Yaroslav Laguta. Practical work on streamlining of issue complied with workers of the regional branch of search and publishing Agency "Memory Book of Ukraine". The book will arrive in each village Rada, territorial community, libraries, cities, districts, municipal and district administration.
