Chernivtsi, Oleksiy Kaspruk has awarded the participants of liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl
Chernivtsi celebrated the Day of celebration of participants of liquidation of consequences of accident on Chernobyl NPP. 14 December exactly 30 years ago, it completed the construction of the sarcophagus over the destroyed fourth unit. Chernivtsi mayor Alex Kaspruk was found in the town Hall with participants of liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl accident, to thank them for their courage, dedication and professionalism shown by them in Pripyat. "Today is the day the memory of that terrible disaster, which was a major disaster not only for Ukraine but for the entire world – said Alexei Kaspruk. – Thanks to those who struggled with consequences of the Chernobyl disaster, we have the opportunity to live and work, developing new Ukrainian power." For active participation in public life of Chernivtsi, personal contribution to social protection of citizens affected by the Chernobyl accident, the mayor awarded the medal “For the glory of Chernivtsi” the participants of liquidation of consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant Gregory Ostapchuk, Nina Pawlik and Anatoly Domanchuk. Were also awarded letters of thanks of the mayor and of remuneration to participants of liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl accident: the Clave Drobot, Viktor Cat, Alexander Karpluk, Vasily Nikolaychuk, Victor Ognevskaya, Victor Bare, Victor Priymak, Yuri Shevchuk, Lily beh, Lily Omelchuk, and Stepan Smetaniuk.
