In Vinnytsia region is home to more than 4 thousand participants of liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl accident
14 December Ukraine marks Day of celebration of participants of liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl accident. Defined by the decree of the President of Ukraine ¹ 945/2006 of 10 November 2006. Vinnytsya region is home to 24 052 persons affected by the Chernobyl disaster, including 4690 participants of liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl accident, victims 18268 citizens, of which 14887 children affected by the Chernobyl accident, 1012 wives (husbands) of the died citizens, whose death is related to the disaster, and 82 members of other nuclear accidents and disasters, exercises with the use of nuclear weapons. The state directs significant resources of the budget for the implementation of various social programs, including social protection of citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster. For program implementation of the State budget "Social protection of citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster" for 2016 region reported net appropriation of $ 32,036 million. For these funds 6263 affected individuals related to 1 and 2 categories, receive monthly compensation in the cost of food in the amount of 405,60 202,80 UAH and UAH, respectively, 10 children with disabilities related to the consequences of the Chernobyl accident - compensation for free meals in schools. The funds paid a one-time payment for the 26 participants of liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl accident in connection with the disability-related consequences of the Chernobyl disaster, for the sum of 4 thousand UAH 930,2, 14 families for the loss of a breadwinner in the amount of 106 thousand UAH 204 and 3 parents of deceased liquidators, whose death is related to the accident – 11òèñ. 376ãðí. Citizens who suffered as a result of the Chernobyl accident, on payment of the raised grants, provision of additional leave, payment of annual assistance for rehabilitation and the like. For 2016 according to the programme bodies of social protection of population of regional state administrations and city councils of cities of regional value contracts with the sanatorium-resort establishments for health improvement 753 persons affected by the Chernobyl disaster, totaling $ 3 million 652,9 thousand UAH. As at 01 Dec 2016 683 healthy individuals, classified as 1, and 9 children with disabilities related to the consequences of the accident. This year for a special contribution to liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl accident, active life position and on the occasion of the Day of celebration of participants of liquidation of consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant 40 participants of liquidation of consequences of accident on Chernobyl NPP was awarded the Honorary diploma of the regional state administration and regional Council with the provision of cash rewards. In accordance with the decision of the 13th session of the regional Council of the 5th convocation on October 25, 2007 ¹356 "On the establishment of a one-time financial assistance to widows (widowers) of the died citizens, whose death is related to Chernobyl catastrophe" ( as amended) and local programs for social protection the wives (husbands) of the died citizens, whose death is related to the consequences of the Chernobyl accident, paid annual assistance. In region held a meeting with participants of liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl accident, the families of the deceased citizens among victims of the Chernobyl accident, representatives of Chernobyl public organizations with the aim of identifying the urgent everyday issues that need urgent solution. Following the meetings at the expense of local budgets to citizens in need one-time financial assistance. In General educational institutions of the region held the lessons of courage with participation of the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident, the clock communication. With the participation of representatives of Executive authorities, local governments and the public to the Day of honoring participants of liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl accident held a memorial dinner, a meeting-Requiem with laying flowers to the memorial signs to the lost participants of elimination of consequences of the Chernobyl accident.
