In Zhytomyr discussed ways of combating tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS

Representatives of the authorities, organizers and heads of agencies of health, education and social services, and law enforcement authorities and civil society organizations have analyzed and discussed the situation in the field of combating tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS at the session of regional Council which took place on 20 December at the Zhytomyr city Council. The head of the health Department of the regional state administration Alexander Turbas noted that overcoming tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS is a social problem, which is only 20 % dependent on medical professionals. Therefore, it is the combined effort of the whole society can achieve success. On the status of implementation of TB activities, the cooperation of departments and offices in the overcoming of epidemic of tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS in Zhitomir, reported the Deputy of the mayor, the Chairman of the municipal Council on combating tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS Matthew Fucking. Chairman of the charitable Foundation "Let your heart beat" Natalya sermon focused their attention on expanding the range of services for women and children. Head of educational Department of the regional medical health center and sports medicine Tatiana Sluka noted that diseases such as tuberculosis, hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS epidemics, the information era.
