Grant support for the development of their own business can obtain internally displaced people and other local residents of Chernihiv region

the international organization for migration (IOM) with the financial support of the Government of the United Kingdom of great Britain and Northern Ireland, acting through the Department for international development (DFID), begins a project to support self-employment of internally displaced persons and local communities in Ukraine. Partner of the project in Chernihiv region is a public organization "Chernihiv public Committee of human rights protection". To participate in the project are invited: Internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Donetsk, Luhansk regions and Crimea at the age of 18 - 60 (women and men) who live (reside) on the territory of Chernihiv region. Local residents of Chernihiv region at the age of 18 - 60 (women and men). Special attention will be paid to the ATO veterans who have returned with injuries that make it impossible for them to re-mobilize, and persons with special needs, representatives of the Roma commune, unemployed members of local communities. PHASE I. the project scheduled two-day training on self-employment (Chernigov, January 2017): Plan of training: • Market analysis, marketing basics, start businesses, resources, motivation, ideas. • Legal aspects of entrepreneurship. • Financial planning. • How to prepare a business plan. • Basics of accounting and tax reporting. Entry requirements: those who started the project or wants to start their own business Formed 2 groups, with 25 – 30 participants in each group (65% University and 35% of local residents). The organizers will provide food handouts to selected participants of the training, accommodation and payment of travel (public transport) participants from the districts of Chernihiv region. PHASE II. Private consultations For each project participant will be provided with expert assistance in forming a business plan. PHASE III. Protection of business plans A brief presentation of the business plan to the Commission, the IOM, which will decide on the allocation of the grant. STAGE IV. Grants For 60% of the project participants of each group will be allocated grants for the purchase of equipment. Grant size: up to 625 pounds (about 20 000) for each grant. Purpose: equipment, instruments, professional appliances, furniture. HOW TO JOIN THE PROJECT 1. Call program coordinator of the Chernihiv public Committee for the protection of human rights (Yekaterina Dankova, mob. 063 158 32 46). 2. Submit a short application form interview program coordinator (assuming a competitive selection of candidates for participation in the program). 3. Provide copies of: • reference VPO (only for immigrants); • all pages of passport and identification code; • certificate of registration (optional, but will be considered as an advantage).
