Zhytomir citizens took part in the Ukrainian-Polish school guides
during the week from 14 to 20 December 2016, in Poland, was a Polish-Ukrainian school of guides “Green tourism for dialogue”, organized by Youth NGO “Modern Format” (Zhytomyr), in cooperation with the Association for the development of local product “Windmills Mazur” (EFC) with the support of the Ministry of youth and sport of Ukraine (order No. 2643 from 04.07.2016). The aim of the project is strengthening the Polish-Ukrainian intercultural dialogue through the involvement of youth in the promotion of ideas and the development of green tourism. The project is intercultural, the project was attended by 12 participants from Ukraine and 12 from Poland. In the course of the School of guides of the Ukrainian and Polish participants had the opportunity to learn about how development of the tourism industry, namely tourism, as in the Mazury region, and Zhytomyr region, what problems are the most common in the industry, what are the trends in the development of the industry in both the countries-participants of the project. Representatives of Zhytomyr team shared their experience in organizing and conducting mountain and Hiking. Participants gained skills for organization, maintenance and conducting adventure tours to interesting routes in Ukraine and in Poland. The program of Ukrainian-Polish school of guides “Green tourism for dialogue” included both theoretical and practical aspects, was intensive and rich communication, meetings, visits to interesting places. — "During intercourse with the head and specialists of the Department of promotion, sports and culture government of the city of e?k, a Polish colleagues from non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, we were amazed and pleasantly surprised that there are so many common points of contact for cooperation between Zhytomyr and Elcom in the field of active tourism and sports. We hope that next year we will be able to continue the project and this time we will be able to present our Polish partners, tourism opportunities and the beauty of our region", – said Zhanna Solovyova, Chairman of the Board of Youth public organization "Modern Format", head of the project. Members of the Ukrainian-Polish school of guides “Green tourism for dialogue” had the opportunity to visit several agritourism facilities in the Mazury region. Thanks to the Director of Agrocomplex "Under the stork's nest" in the Old Juche Andrzej Raruto members of the Ukrainian delegation had the opportunity to fly on autogiros and see the lakes in all their glory from the height of bird flight. During the visit to the Agriturismo "In Dal" Ukrainian-the Polish delegation plunged into a cosy and atmospheric winter Wonderland: exquisite house design, house over the lake, the vineyards, their own cheeses and marmalades, delicious food, welcoming hosts – all this made a very pleasant impression and a desire to return to this house, not once. Were visited by the participants and at the Christmas fair in the property "Ptresult". Specially for our Ukrainian-Polish group, the company's team of residents and friends of the village of Zawada Elck "MYSTI" prepared a quest-a journey through the winter forest and the village.
