Department of supervision of observance of laws by bodies of SBU, and State border guard service of the regional Prosecutor's office has taken steps to enhance the work of security authorities of the region regarding the identification and disclosure of crimes in the priority directions of work of prosecution bodies, including in the sphere of protection of forest resources. In particular, during the current year, the investigators of the security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region were 5 criminal proceedings in the sphere of combating illegal logging of forests, 3 of which indictments are sent to court. For example, the now completed pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings on charges Transcarpathians, who was engaged in business activity in the timber sector, for counterfeiting bills of lading for the purpose of legalizing the origin of the timber for their further export to countries of the European Union, on the grounds of criminal offenses under part 3 and part 4 of article 358 of the criminal code of Ukraine (forgery and use of forged documents). The results of the pre-trial investigation 26.12.2016 the indictment is sent to the Uzhgorod city court.
