Development strategy of the city of Chernigov for the period until 2020 approved by the city Council
the Deputies of Chernihiv city Council December 29, at a plenary meeting 14 session of the 7th convocation adopted a decision "On the development Strategy of the city of Chernigov for the period until 2020" and "On approval of the Strategy of tourism development and promotion of the city of Chernihiv for the years 2017-2021". An important form of the functioning of the socioeconomic system at the local level, the principle and method of management is strategic planning, which enables local authorities to combine analysis of current events, the socio-economic development and possible future scenarios of policy development. Also allows you to create a shared vision of the future, developing plans that are acceptable to the local communities and society as a whole. This Strategy was developed through broad dialogue and cooperation of different partners: residents and community activists, government representatives, the business community, entrepreneurs and educators, the scientific and expert environment. In Chernihiv held two strategic session with the participation of more than 400 residents were also conducted trainings with the employees of the departments and offices of the city Council. The main aim of the Strategy is the creation and implementation by 2020 in Chernihiv system development, the use of which will contribute to the successful and sustainable functioning and prosperity of our city. Approval of the Strategy will provide an opportunity to engage in the development of city public funds, in particular funds of the State regional development Fund, regional budget funds and assistance from international donor organizations. As previously reported, at a meeting of the working group defined the vision and mission of tourism development. Vision – an open, competitive and innovative city an active community with a developed tourist complex and powerful economy. Mission – city of happy people, United in a society with competent, systematic and transparent regulation. In addition, the development concept of the city developed in the form of four strategic goals. Namely: competitive and innovative city development of housing and communal services and infrastructure "Comfortable city", the development of human potential "Man - above all" tourism development "Chernigov – tourist city". The purpose of approval of the Strategy of tourism development and promotion is the development of the tourism industry of the city of Chernigov, the growth of tourist flows, turning tourism into one of the most profitable sectors of the economy of Chernihiv. This Strategy takes into account the provisions of the city the city development Strategy up to 2020, and describes in detail specific steps to develop the tourism sector and promotion of the city. It provides for the transformation of Chernihiv in the Northern tourist capital of Ukraine with a strong competitive position and clear development priorities; in the city, which retains and develops its uniqueness and historical heritage, continuously improving the quality of life of citizens and the attractiveness of the business.
