the Awarding of the best athletes and coaches of the Region in the category "Heroes of sports year 2016" was held in Ternopil national economic University. This event is jointly established by the Department of physical culture and sport of the regional state administration and regional branch of National Olympic Committee of Ukraine in 2012. Its purpose is to honor the best athletes, coaches, sports teams, sponsors of sports and sporting events that have attracted public attention during the year. The winners in different nominations were awarded with certificates and diplomas. The nominees of the program was determined by the contest jury consists of journalists covering the sporting life of the region.
