The head of the Dubno local Prosecutor Vasyl Martyniuk informed the public about the results of operations for the year 2016
Dubno Head of the local Prosecutor's office Vasyl Martyniuk told the public and members of the media on the results of the local Prosecutor's office for the year 2016, the results of its reform and change of functions in accordance with the requirements of the law of Ukraine "On Prosecutor's office". The meeting was held 29.12.2016 in the premises of the local Prosecutor's office. The gathered Vasyl Martyniuk announced figures and examples made of the topical areas of prosecutorial activities that indicate the real impact on the state of law and order, explained the function of the prosecution in terms of legislative changes. So, the Prosecutor informed that during the year sent to court 270 indictments in criminal proceedings, where the employees of the local Prosecutor's office has implemented procedural guidance pre-trial investigation. In particular, the Prosecutor's office approved and already sent to the court indictment against the head of one branch of the Demidov district administration 2 managers and subcontractors for illegal actions which wasted almost 700 thousand UAH allocated by the state on repair of schools and other educational goals. Pre-trial investigation established that the head of the district state administration, abusing his official position without any legal basis approved in 2014 official documents submitted by the heads of the companies concerning the actual conduct of the 4 schools in the district construction of boilers and the purchase of training equipment, when in fact said work is still not done. For 2016, prosecutors filed 21 claims totaling 4.7 million UAH. So, by results of consideration by court of the appeal of the Prosecutor's office declared invalid the agreement to use the land plot worth UAH 4.1 mln and its returned to the state. It is about 95 hectares of land in the village. Demydivka, which were transferred from one of the schools in the use of private enterprise cooperation agreement. However, the local Prosecutor's office found that the deal between parties is a sham, and said the contract - in fact, a disguised lease land, which the school ordered in violation of law, without the consent of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the relevant ministries. Also, the Prosecutor presented the results of the struggle of law enforcement agencies for the disposal of a number of illegal slot halls, of consideration by courts of materials of relevant criminal proceedings and gave detailed answers to the questions that interested the journalists. In particular, he has informed that law enforcement bodies of Dubinina on petitions instituted criminal proceedings on the fact of pollution of lands by unauthorized dump, which was discovered near the village Turkovychi. Prosecutors have provided written instructions and orientated law enforcement officers, including other districts, to identify and verify vehicles that transport solid waste. It was also informed about the organization and order of consideration of the local Prosecutor's office, of the reception of citizens on its head (every Wednesday). Finally, the head of the Dubno local Prosecutor Vasyl Martyniuk assured that Agency staff within the authority to continue to take comprehensive measures to strengthen the rule of law and urged the public to cooperate actively in this direction and to assist in the investigation of offences.
