Ternopil region - among agricultural leaders
During report about results of work of the Executive branch region Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Stepan Barna paid special attention to the field of agriculture in the region. According to the head of the region, the volume of gross output of agriculture of the Ternopil region took the 8th place in Ukraine. In this industry there is a significant increase: in the first 11 months of 2016 by all categories of farms produced products worth 7.9 billion, which is 103.6%. In General, for 10 months of the year in agriculture disbursed capital investments amounting to .6 million "Compared to the nationwide rate in 2016 have successful results in the food processing industry. At that time, in Ukraine the growth rate of only 1.9 % in Ternopil region, the figure is 14.7%. Sold food products and beverages in the amount of 4 billion 174 million UAH 926 million higher than the previous 2015", – said Stepan Barna. According to the Chairman of the TOGA, about the stability and prospects of development of agro-industrial complex of the Region is demonstrated by the fact that this year expanded the number of facilities among which Horostkovsky sugar, Kovalevsky alcohol and Terebovlia milk processing plants; Ternopil meat processing plant; plant for processing soybeans and the poultry house in the Ternopil district; livestock facilities for cattle in the Pidvolochysk district; speaker for sows in Podgaetsky – g-no; elevators in Ternopil and Bachatskom districts. Also created 2 agricultural service cooperatives with berries farming and milk collection in Berezhany district.
