In 2016 Ukraine set a record in grain export
In the 2015/2016 marketing year, Ukraine supplied the record in exports of grain crops to foreign markets. For the first years of independence were exported over 39 million tons of grain, which is 13% higher than for the previous season. "The past year has largely set the bar for us. For example, we have collected a record harvest, record the amount of grain sent for export. These are new challenges and new horizons. Most importantly – we have room to grow," - said on this occasion, the Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Taras Kutovoy. According to experts, thanks to the intensive work of the industry in the 2016/2017 marketing year the grain exports could reach 41.6 million tons. In General, according to state statistics, by results of 9 months of 2016 Ukrainian exporters had exported agricultural products worth .4 billion, which accounted for 40.2% of the total exports of the state.
