January 11, in the premises of the regional state administration took place the official meeting of heads of region and city, representatives of business structures of the region with the Director of the regional office of the Lodz voivodship in Brussels, Marcin Podgorski and President of the company "Mediasystem" Zbigniew Sinkevicius. During the meeting, the Chairman of the regional state administration Valery Cow informed the foreign guests about the current economic situation in Ukraine and the region. The head yeah noted that Vinnytsia oblast has a specific structure, since 65 % of the value added produced in food industry and agricultural industry. "Agricultural business is an engine of economic growth. We were able to create an environment to attract strong investment in the processing industry. However, we are working to diversify the business. It is important for us to attract investment in other sectors of the industry," - said Valery Cow. The Chairman of regional state administration informed on a number of projects that are successfully implemented in the region, including with participation of foreign capital and focused on changes in the Tax code relating to the activities of small businesses. "We have adopted a new program to stimulate small business development, has allocated funds in the regional budget and restore the practice of payment at the discount rate of interest, which small businesses will receive in commercial banks", - said the head of RSA. Valery Cow stressed that the oblast is very interested in creating new instruments which would give access to EU structural funds and stressed that all new, which allows the region to develop and move forward, interesting for the regional team. Interest in the experience of the ??d? Voivodeship and of Poland in General in the issues of regional development, competitiveness of small and medium businesses was expressed by the Chairman of regional Council Anatoly Oleynik and Deputy of the Vinnytsia city mayor Vladislav Skalsky. Thus assured that both the oblast and the city have a powerful potential for further development of relations with Polish partners. Noting this positive development in Vinnytsia region, the Director of the regional office of the Lodz voivodship in Brussels, Marcin Podgorski, in turn, stressed that the European Union is primarily a concept, design, method of implementation plans. "The dilemma is, which model to accept that it was successful and provided fun for the residents of the region", - he stressed. Marcin Podgorski focused on the importance of international cooperation in trade relations and in the sphere of intellectual exchange. "We can implement joint projects, but should know that one out of ten wins. It is a European reality competition. To win the competition it is necessary to create clusters in a triple helix, where the administration, businesses and educational institutions play a key role", - noted the Director of the regional office of the Lodz voivodship in Brussels. The President of the company "Mediasystem" Zbigniew Zinkevich expressed willingness to help with contacts of Polish companies, who have the desire to invest in Ukraine and voiced the hope that their visit will become an impetus for strengthening cooperation and exchange of contacts at the level of administrations and at the level of individual firms. Foreign guests gave to the leaders of the region and city list of possible areas of cooperation for the future. At the end of the meeting the Chairman of regional state administration Valery Cow assured the team of the region is very interested in specific cases, meaningful steps and concrete solutions.
