In Volyn region thanks to the principled position of prosecutors traffickers remain behind bars
Bailiff for the position of Prosecutor's office of Volyn, the appeals court upheld the sentence of Lutsk city district court on condemnation of a citizen of the Republic of Poland and his accomplice-volynianka that Ukrainians were taken abroad for sexual exploitation. As is well known to everybody, in the period from March 2010 to 14 March 2014, attackers tricked recruited in the Ukraine and moved to Wroclaw in Poland several young girls using their financial dependence and vulnerability. Recall that the sentence of Lutsk city district court of Volyn region of 20 November 2014 were both found guilty of committing a crime under part 2 of article 149 of the Criminal code of Ukraine and sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. In addition, the intruders charged in a solidary order in moral damages to two victims of their actions women in 10 thousand UAH each, two others – 5 thousand UAH. Despite the fact that the defendants did not admit his guilt and challenging the verdict, asked to justify them, the court, having listened to the arguments of the prosecutors, left the traffickers behind bars.
