This celebration involves a large crowd of people near water, so there is a risk of unforeseen situations. In this regard, Chernihiv mayor Vladislav Atroshenko has issued a decree "On holding in the city of Chernihiv for the celebration of the Baptism of the Lord." It defines the services and departments that are responsible for organizing the construction and safety of these activities. In particular, it is provided to ensure public order in venues of mass actions by workers of the patrol police Department and the National police in Chernigov, duty ambulances, rescuers and rescue equipment during mass events in the city gums. According to the Department of culture of the city Council, this day will be a Procession from Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral to the bridge over the Desna river, near where the recreation center "Chemist" will take place the rite of consecration of the water by the clerics of the Moscow Patriarchate UOC. Also at the beach "Gold coast" the rite of consecration of water will be conducted by the clergy of the Kyivan Patriarchate, UOC. The event starts in roughly 12 hours.
