Ternopil Sergey Nadal took part in the celebration of the "Lemko Jordan"
Traditionally, every year, numerous Lemko community gathers for the celebration of the “Lemko Jordan” in Ternopil. This year the show was held in PC “Berezil” and besides the hundreds of them it was visited by mayor Sergey Nadal. The head of Ternopil noted that lemkowska traditions are part of Ukrainian culture and city Council to continually maintain Lemke in carrying out their traditional activities. “Lemko community is an example of how in conditions of persecution, forced resettlement, it is necessary to keep the friendship between them, to revive and popularize his lemkowska culture and traditions, - said Sergey Nadal. – it's Nice that Lemkos are going to celebrate the Baptism in Ternopil, join the citywide celebration and show our culture to them and visitors to the city”.
