the prosecutors of Transcarpathian region together with employees of special forces “To” UAS CSS of Ukraine exposed the corruption scheme receipt of unlawful benefit by officials of Uzhgorod city Council with the mediation of individuals. Previously it is established that illegal benefit officials of the city Council for assistance in the positive solution of “land”, which were passed at the session of Uzhgorod city Council. Now detained the facilitator during receiving part of illegal benefit in the amount of 20 thousand UAH. In the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under part 3 St. 368 criminal code of Ukraine - obtaining of illegal benefit by an official, on the basis of the decision investigating judge is continuing the searches in the premises of Uzhgorod city Council, as well as residential premises of individual employees of Uzhgorod city Council. Reference: part 3.article 368 of the criminal code of Ukraine - accepting the offer, promise or receipt of unlawful benefit by an official, the subject of which was illegal benefit in large amount, or committed by an official which holds responsible position, or on preliminary arrangement by group of persons or repeatedly, or combined with extortion of illegal benefit, -shall be punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term from n’five to ten years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years, with confiscation of property.
