The program of development of Cycling in Chernihiv accepted without edits
January 26, at the plenary meeting of the 15th session of the Chernihiv city Council 7 convocation deputies without edits and comments adopted the Program of development of Cycling and improvement of Cycling infrastructure in the city of Chernihiv for 2017-2020. This program provides not only the creation of 186 miles of bike lanes throughout the city, but the device and other infrastructure. It is also important that velopress in Chernihiv will be created not as an entertainment, but as part of the city's transportation network. That is the main objective of the Programme is that a significant part of Chernigov were able to change vehicles on a Bicycle." It is expected that this will improve the health of people and simultaneously have a positive impact on the state of the city, improving its environment, comfort, increasing tourist and investment attractiveness. This program was developed jointly by scientists, students, deputies, public organizations and Department of housing and utilities of Chernihiv city Council. The draft programme had significant support from Chernigov who are members of the urban Cycling or support it.
