In absentia to judge former head of the Inspectorate for the protection of the rights of consumers in the Rivne oblast for the systematic illegal receipt of benefits
For the procedural management of Prosecutor's office of Rivne region completed pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings and sent to court indictment against the former head of the Inspectorate for the protection of the rights of consumers in the Rivne region, who committed corruption crimes. This was announced by the Deputy Prosecutor of the Rivne region Miroslav Patskan at the meeting with journalists 26.01.2017. In order for the special pre-trial investigation by the investigators of the Main Directorate of the National police in the Rivne region together with the Prosecutor gathered overwhelming evidence that systematically, the official demanded and received from the business entities a bribe for reducing the size of penalties by results of check of their activity and not included in the plans for future inspections. Only the ex-head of the Supervisory authority received improper benefit for a total amount of 25 thousand UAH. He presently declared in the international search. Given the rules of the Criminal procedural code of Ukraine regarding the peculiarities of special pre-trial investigation of criminal offences against the person applies the procedure of conviction. The indictment in fact be considered the Rivne city court. Reference: for the committed crime is punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term from 5 till 10 years with confiscation of property and with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities.
