Zhytomyr region: the region outlined the priorities of work of the bodies of labour and social protection of the population by 2017
27 Jan 2017 held its final Board meeting of the Department of labor and social protection of population of regional state administration. The meeting participants summed up the results of work of bodies of labour and social protection of population of the region for the year 2016 and outlined the main objectives for 2017. Thanks to the coordinated work of all branches of power in the region managed to reduce the arrears of wages in 2016, more than a third (from 9 to 5.5 million UAH) and the pace of repayment of debts according to recent statistics, the region took the 4th place in the national ranking. Participants discussed the developments and problematic issues in the sphere of labour relations, social protection of Chernobyl disaster victims, participants of the ATO, work with citizens ' appeals. Among the main priorities of activity of bodies of labour and social protection of the population in 2017: * social support for family members of military personnel who participate in anti-terrorist operation, families of servicemen killed in the performance of duties of military service and individuals who have been injured in the East of Ukraine. * comprehensive protection of vulnerable populations, including internally displaced persons; * increased targeting of benefits, housing subsidies and payment for utilities; * strengthening social protection for children and families with children; * full coverage of social services to separate categories of the population and improving the quality of their provision; * elimination of wage arrears; * increasing employment and reducing unemployment; * realization of state policy in the sphere of social-labor relations and social partnership; This was reported in the Zhytomyr regional state administrationÏåðåâåäåíî ñåðâèñîì "ßíäåêñ.Ïåðåâîä÷èê": translate.yandex.ru.
