Chernivtsi: Ukraine and Romania have a common historical heritage,which is worthy of inclusion in the world heritage list of UNESCO

Chernivtsi mayor Alex Kaspruk met with Consul General of Romania in Chernivtsi Eleanor Moldovans, the General Director of the Museum of Bucovina in Suceava by Constantin-Emil Ursu, doctor of historical Sciences, Director of the research laboratory of archaeology of Ukraine Mikhail Dacom, Executive Director of the Ukrainian national Committee of international Council on monuments and sites (SOMO) Elena Serdyuk and Director of the Museum of the history of cultural heritage "Platar" Inna Podgorodetskiy. Scientists have informed the mayor about the intentions of the experts to work on the possible inclusion to the UNESCO heritage historical treasures of the Trypillian culture. This ancient civilization unites Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, and there is every reason to believe that the monuments of Tripoli culture were included in the list of World heritage sites. Each country already has serious achievements in the study of this culture have remained organizational issues, experts say. In Ukraine identified more than two thousand monuments of Tripoli culture, 330 of them – in Chernivtsi region. "Thanks to the efforts of the national University of Chernivtsi Residence of Bukovina and Dalmatinskih metropolitans (now CHERNIVTSI national University named after Yuriy Fedkovych) 2011 included in the UNESCO list of world – says Elena Serdyuk. – This gives hope that scientists of the University to support our project and help with its implementation. The University has a strong Department of UNESCO. So I have reason to determine the Chernivtsi science center implementation of ideas connected with UNESCO. Great job spends in this direction the Department of cultural heritage of the city Council and its head of Helen fluff. Very pleased that these processes are supported by the mayor Alexei Kaspruk". On the top together with the Romanian colleagues the process of the nomination of the archaeological culture of Tripolye-Cucuteni in the List of UNESCO world spadini pre-announced February 7, 2017 during the next meeting of the National Commission of UNESCO. And in the middle of February, the initiators and organizers will discuss these issues in the Romanian city of Suceava. Experts suggest that the whole procedure can last 3-4 years. Alex Kaspruk expressed support for the nomination of the monuments of Tripoli culture in the world heritage list of UNESCO and promised to contribute to this issue.
