February 1, a meeting of the Chairman of regional state administration Valery Cows and Deputy Director of the Finance Department of the regional state administration Irina Zuban with representatives of the project "Gender budgeting in Ukraine" concerning implementation of gender-oriented budgeting in the area of health protection in the Vinnitsa region. The project "Gender budgeting in Ukraine" implemented with support of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine in the process of implementing gender-based budgeting and is financially supported by the Swedish Agency for international development. "This is a very interesting and necessary project. We will do everything to make it as fast as possible gained in Vinnytsia oblast", – said Valery Cow. Note that gender budgeting (TH) is recognized worldwide as an effective tool to achieve gender equality, which contributes to the efficiency of use of budgetary funds. "The project has everything in order to continue to form the basis of amendments to the budget system of Ukraine", – said the Deputy head of the Department of planning local budgets – head of budgetary control and medium-term planning of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the participant of the project Elena Macula. "Gender budgeting combines 2 processes: gender equality and public financial management," said national expert on gender-oriented budgeting of the project, the head of the Cupa. Thus, the project takes place in 4 main stages: Step 1. Initial work on implementation in pilot ministries and provinces; Step 2. Implementation and testing results of pilot work on the GO; Step 3. Gender mainstreaming in the budgetary process at the state and local levels; Step 4. TH is implemented in Ukraine. It should be noted that gender budgeting is a tool aimed at integrating a gender perspective into the budget process. It should be considered as an influential element in the management activities associated with the development of budgets of different levels, which provides important information to professionals who decide on the budget allocation.
