February 1, 2017 in the Prosecutor's office of Vinnitsa region with the participation of law enforcement bodies of the region at the coordination meeting discussed the status of combating crime in 2016, including its organized forms, as well as identify activities aimed at detecting and preventing criminal manifestations. The Prosecutor of the region Vladimir P. Sokolov noted that law enforcement agencies in cooperation with the public authorities adopted a number of organizational and coordination activities, which contributed to the improvement of the criminal situation, the creation of appropriate conditions for effective work of bodies of preliminary investigation and the functioning of law enforcement system. Considerable attention is paid to combating corruption and bribery, detection and suppression of criminal activity, including corruption, this’duties. At the same time in the conditions of reforming of law enforcement bodies there is a need to change the forms of fight against crime, to bring their results in the new criteria for the assessment of the level of crime, disclosure of criminal offences, the efficiency of the bodies of preliminary investigation and law enforcement activities in this area.
