In the Ternopil region perinatal center "Mother and child" received from Canada ambulance

Brand new, equipped with all necessary sanitary car "Crestline GM Chevrolet G 3500" recently arrived in our region, namely the Ternopil regional clinical perinatal center "Mother and child". This became possible in result of the fruitful year of cooperation with "Canadian Foundation for Children of Chernobyl", the Ukrainian canadian Congress, the International charity Fund "Caritas Ukraine". The main principle of organization of care for pregnant women, parturient women, puerperant women and newborns at the present stage is regionalization, which is based on the concept of perinatal risk – the need to establish clear compliance risk childbirth for mother and child up to the real possibilities of the facility. According to normative documents of Ministry of health of Ukraine (order of Ministry of health No. 51 of 26 February 2015 "On approval of the Procedure of transportation of pregnant women, childbirth and postpartum in Ukraine," practical guides "National approaches to the implementation of the system of regionalization of perinatal care in Ukraine" dated March 12, 2012) in the country in General and in the Ternopil region in particular, is assistance to mothers and newborns at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels according to the degree of perinatal risk. It is essential to ensure the routing of high-risk patients (which is 15-17% of all pregnant women) from the most remote area of the region in the tertiary level the provision of tertiary care, where the best conditions for delivery of pregnant women high risk for preterm labor, premature babies with extremely low body weight. Transportation should be an integral part of planning these programs. To implement the requirements of adequate transportation, the institution of the tertiary level the provision of tertiary care, which is Ternopil regional clinical perinatal center "Mother and child" should operate in a consultative and diagnostic center and visiting obstetrician and anesthesia team with the appropriate means of transport for emergency medical care for pregnant women, women in labor and childbirth, safe and efficient transportation of patients from institutions of primary and secondary level to the perinatal center.
