Kovtonyuk Paul urged the public of the region to joint problem solving and acceptance of constructive solutions
While on a working visit in Vinnytsia region, the Deputy Minister of health of Ukraine Pavlo Kovtonyuk took part in the meeting of the working group on the establishment of hospital districts. The meeting was held with the participation of the Chairman of regional state administration Valery Cows, VA. the Chairman of regional Council Lyudmila shcherbakovskaya, the Chairman of the constant Commission of regional Council on health, social protection and employment Yaroslav Hrebta, Director of the Department of health regional state administration Lyudmila grabovich. The Deputy Minister and the leadership of the region together with the chief doctors, representatives of regions and representatives of public organizations discussed the main principles of formation of hospital districts. According to Paul Kovtonyuk, "a hospital district is an Association of healthcare institutions, which should be a tool in improving the quality of health care services to the population. In the framework of decentralization, we gave people the opportunity to join in district hospital, - said the Deputy Minister, All will depend on decisions that will be discussing the communities of the respective localities". Some questions which were raised by the experts during the meeting of the organization of the route of the patient, determination of the place of each hospital in the hospital district, the fate of these medical institutions. Kovtonyuk Paul explained that since medical institutions transferred to the local authority – further functions can be solved only by the local authority. "Local authorities should undertake outreach activities of hospital boards and to explain to people how to operate the medicine in the County. It is very important for the local authorities in the work on of hospital districts to determine the path priority investment, roads to emergency, priority health facilities and scope of services. In addition, the proposed regions to negotiate with carriers to create routes of transport. This will improve the availability of medical care in the transition period", - said the Deputy Minister. At the end of the meeting, the participants made the appropriate treatment, which will be considered at the meeting of the regional Council.
