"According to the changes in legislation relating to the pay increase from 1 January 2017, introduced new social standards as part of the minimum wage and minimum subsistence level. To date, from local budgets-nearly 110-thousand employees that work in the public sector of the region paid wages according to the new standard. That's a third of the total number of employees working in economic sector of the region. A separate set of issues is raising the minimum wages to workers employed in other sectors of the economy of the region. there are a number of questions and discussions that we need to discuss and make every effort for their solution", - said the head of the region. According to Valery Cows, it is important to legalize the payment of wages to every employee feel socially protected. "According to preliminary estimates, in comparison with the year 2015 only in Vinnytsia region due to reduced rates of single social tax from 38% to 22% allowed additional working capital in the amount of 1 billion 600 million hryvnias to leave the economic sector. We want a significant portion of these funds was allocated to higher wages, because it affects the welfare of citizens, the public peace in Ukraine", - said Valery Cow. In turn, head of Rostruda in Vinnytsia oblast Vladimir Maroko informed the participants about the changes that have occurred in the legislation on payment from 1 January 2017. Also during the meeting discussed plans for advocacy in the first half of 2017. "As the diocese of Vinnytsia created the appropriate groups at the district level, in regional cities and United local communities. They are monitoring the situation in region related to the payment at the enterprises, organizations and institutions in the region corresponding wages, as well as promptly respond to requests of citizens",- said Vladimir Maroko. Summing up the results of the trilateral meeting, Valery Cow noted that the main objective of regulatory authorities is not applying penalties to employers, and conduct a proper detailed outreach to ensure compliance with the newly introduced changes in labour legislation in the region.
