"the Government has extended the already popular program "warm" loans in 2017 and upgraded to provide remedies for it. Soon Ukrainians will be able to fully utilize the program and to attract non-repayable financial assistance from the state for energy efficiency measures," commented the Chairman of the Saee Serhiy Savchuk relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which was adopted on 8 February at the Government meeting. This year, as before, Ukrainians will be able to get a government non-repayable financial assistance to implement energy efficient measures in the amount of: 20% on the purchase of "non-gas" boilers, 35% – for insulation of private housing and 40% for condominiums and 70% for grantees that are part of these condominiums. Among the innovations this year expanded the list of banks participating in the program. Now "warm" the loans will be available not only in Oshchadbank, Ukrgasbank and Ukreximbank, and PrivatBank. Consequently, citizens will have more freedom of choice in respect of the Bank, location of its branch, the best credit terms. Most importantly, by connecting one more powerful Bank with the latest technology will be hard competition in the banking sector, which will reduce the cost of credit to households and condominiums to attract a larger number of participants. Also, this year will be the mandatory introduction of commercial accounting in the conduct of activities on thermal modernization of apartment buildings. Thus, condominiums can monitor the actual energy consumption in the home and to assess the effectiveness of the implementation of energy efficiency measures.
