In Prosecutor's office of Vinnytsia region held a meeting with the foreign delegation of the Field office Otaci of the European Union Mission of border assistance to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM)
10 February 2017 meeting of the Prosecutor of Vinnytsia region’Vyacheslav Sokolovaja with the head of Mission European Union border assistance to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) Dusan Ruman. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss possibilities of improving international cooperation of the partner services, EUBAM, namely between the Moldovan and Ukrainian law enforcement agencies and some of the issues relevant criminal proceedings. The foreign delegation was informed about the results of the investigation of criminal proceedings on the fact of illegal storage of excisable goods seized in close proximity to the state border. They also discussed issues of border and customs cooperation, capacity-building of border and customs services, law enforcement and other state bodies of Moldova and Ukraine, the implementation of the overall control borders, combat smuggling, and the like. Following the meeting the parties expressed mutual interest in continuing constructive cooperation between the Prosecutor's office of area with the EUBAM Mission. Summing up the meeting, the sides noted the constructive nature, and expressed hope for cooperation in the future.
