Yesterday at Volyn regional public organization of parents of children with down syndrome and other developmental disorders (TION "Down syndrome") held a bright, friendly “Celebration of love”. Children came to visit the Secretary of city Council Julia Bosenko, the Chairman of the constant Commission of city Council concerning social protection, health care, maternity and childhood, education, science, culture, language, Alla Nadtochy, Director of the Lutsk city center of social services for family, children and youth Lina Galan. The children met Yulia Vasilievna joyful hugs, cheerful smiles, old friend. It is not surprising, said the Chairman of the Board of the NEW "Down syndrome" Elena Melnik. According to her, she Vasenko met repeatedly with children and parents TION "Down - syndrome". Just last year, the parents of “solar children” two times was on reception at the Secretary of city Council, and twice she Busenko was at their events. Therefore, the organization feels the support of the city Council, in particular, assisted in the provision of premises for work, freed them from paying for utilities. The children prepared for the parents and a small concert. Sang a song about Ukraine and dance, and then together undertook to produce bright, decorated with patterns, “Chest of wishes”. Master-class on making of Souvenirs for children were conducted by specialists of Lutsk city center of social services for family, children and youth. While the kids were at the workshop, parents had the opportunity to talk with representatives of city government, to talk about their needs. “Our organization brings together 70 families of children with down syndrome, their families and professionals working with this category of people. This gave the opportunity for parents of children with disabilities and professionals to share their experiences and knowledge, to support each other in difficult life. Thanks to the financial support of the all-Ukrainian NGO “Coalition for the protection of the rights of disabled persons and persons with intellectual disabilities” in TION "Down syndrome" there are two specialists who work for half the rate, taking care of eight children. However, significantly more children with down syndrome in luck need help,” said Elena Miller. Julia Bosenko assured those present that the city budget includes funds for the construction of a reintegration Center, which will be built this year. His discovery solved a lot of problems of people with special needs for their rehabilitation and integration into society as full-fledged citizens of Ukraine, who have equal rights with others. More parents of children with disabilities asked for assistance in writing projects that will help to raise funds for their activities, and the organization of summer recreation of children with disabilities. Asked to provide a vehicle for carrying disabled persons in wheelchairs. Also touched upon the organization of the events dedicated to the International day of person with down syndrome, which is celebrated worldwide every year on March 21.
