During the meeting of Crisis energy headquarters, which was held on 13 February in the Ministry of energy, chaired by Vice Prime Minister - Minister of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine Gennadiy Zubko, Minister Igor Nasalik said that this year, the Ministry made preparation for the autumn-winter period in full. "We are fully prepared not only on the equipment, we have double power generation", - said the Minister. Besides, it was stated that nuclear generation has 13 energoblok, whereas in the spring worked only 9. Also, according to the Minister, this is the first year when we don't import electricity. Highlighted by the Minister on the issue of coal. "The stockpile of anthracite coal in the warehouses of 927 thousand tons, 120 thousand tons more than predicted," - said Igor Nasalik. At the same time, the Minister stressed that the maneuverable power in Ukraine provide a thermal power plant, part of which operates on coal of grade "A". Anthracite is not mined controlled by Ukrainian authorities of the territory, so it has to be brought or uncontrolled territory, or to import. Igor Nasalik noted that the duration of supply of imported coal 50-55 days, moreover, coal is much more expensive, which will lead to higher prices for electricity and heat. "To ensure uninterrupted power supply of consumers of electric energy and heat balance of the power system during peak loads passing on to abandon the anthracite coal we can not" - said Igor Nasalik. The Minister informed that the Ministry is taking measures to reduce dependence on the supply of anthracite. In particular, two projects implemented in 2016 and introducing two more, which will save 3.2 million tons of anthracite coal, and this 1/3 needs in anthracite.
