Chernihiv city Council mayor Vladislav Atroshenko met with representatives of the various religious denominations of the city to discuss the most pressing issues of our time that can and should be solved by joint efforts. Among the most important issues: the demographic situation in the city, of the moral state of society, attitude of people to the positive, mutual respect to each other and to the state. The mayor, in particular, provided statistical evidence that for many years the mortality in our city exceeds the birth rate. But over the past few years the city's population is reduced by nearly a thousand people annually, even despite the fact that the population of the city was replenished by immigrants from the East of the country. On belief of the mayor, this is a threatening trend for the city and its future, therefore, positive dynamics in every family it is advisable to give birth at least 3 children. In this question participants were unanimous that the secular authorities and the Church need to join forces in conducting explanatory work among the people. The clergy also discussed the fact that a great responsibility rests on the medical staff who have to be very careful and cautious in matters of abortion women. Representatives of religious communities believe are important and cooperation towards the physical and moral health of the population. Because there is increased risk of drug and alcohol abuse, there is a tendency to increase in suicides, especially among young people. In addition, the meeting raised the issue of the necessity of joining efforts in organization of rendering moral and psychological assistance to soldiers of the ATO. This work, according to the participants, it is important not only on the front, which in fact are representatives of different faiths, but also at home for the soldiers who return with the ATO and need moral and psychological support to relieve stress. Also highlighted the issue of conducting joint festivals, which revive Ukrainian traditions and have a great unifying force. Noted that many of Chernigov, in particular, among members of the Catholic Church are grateful for the holding of the interesting Christmas celebrations in the city this year. Vladislav Atroshenko also stressed that joint efforts need to defeat the negativity that comes from different sources of information, including Newspapers, television, etc. Even a strong person to feel depressed due to the frenzied pressure of negativity, - he said. The mayor also reminded about the need to unite the efforts of all religious communities in support of local authorities regarding compliance with order and cleanliness in the city. Those present were unanimous in the opinion that the representatives of different faiths need to look for what unites them rather than divides them. As a result SNO meeting all religious communities supported the decision to create a city Council of churches and religious communities at the mayor for solutions to common problems in the city.
