Sergey Savchuk: the Government Committee has approved the Plan of measures on introduction of energy management systems in budget institutions
Yesterday, February 23, at the meeting of the Government Committee for European and Euro-Atlantic integration, international cooperation and regional development approved by the Saee draft order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On approval of the Plan of measures on introduction of energy management systems in budget institutions". The purpose of the draft act is to create financial and organizational tools for the functioning of energy management at regional and local levels and in the individual budgetary institutions. "Improving energy efficiency in budgetary institutions of Ukraine is an extremely pressing issue. The implementation of energy management will ensure the monitoring of energy consumption and to make management decisions for their effective use. This, in turn, will have a positive impact on: reduction of energy dependence, reduction of budget expenditures on utilities and energy and, in General, improvement of material-technical base of establishments of budgetary sphere", - said the Chairman of the Agency. Adoption of the draft act will introduce a system of energy management based on system approach and create the right incentives for further implementation of EE measures.
