"The work of the Department is aimed at implementation of the Strategy for balanced regional development of Vinnytsia region for the period up to 2020, namely: regional economic, investment, industrial and international policy by ensuring the tasks outlined in the Programme for economic and social development of the Vinnytsia region in 2017," - said the official. One of the priority directions of work of Department of international cooperation and regional development regional state administration Volodymyr Merezhko called the growth of competitiveness of the region's economy, namely: ? support industrial sector ? support and implementation of investment projects ? support business development ? assistance to increase exports ? the effective use and preservation of state assets ? the introduction of measures aimed at deregulating the economy of the region ? the development of trading activities. Volodymyr Merezhko said that in the industrial sector of the region in 2016 implemented 22 investment projects worth more than $ 665 million UAH. (completion of these projects helped to create 510 new jobs). With the aim of attracting investors to increase production capacity and increase jobs in the industry region initiated transparent competitions for best investment projects in the field of alternative energy sources and the leasing of land for running a small business, after the land auction. So, now there is a registration of lease 3 land plots with total area of 110 hectares in Chechelnitskiy and Peschanskaya areas under investment project in the field of alternative power, which in Vinnytsia for the first time will implement investors from Saudi Arabia. Regarding the construction of solar power plants, the region already has 9 companies that produce it. The main priority of the Department for the coming years remains support and rendering necessary assistance for the implementation in the industrial sector of the region 71 long-term investment projects with a total cost of about 8.2 billion UAH. (completion of these projects will create nearly 5.5 thousand new jobs). In General, according to Vladimir Merezhko, the implementation of investment projects in 2017 will create 1,800 new jobs.
