In Vinnytsia region created the first in Ukraine regional competition of journalistic works "Reforming local government and territorial organization of power" (photo)
February 28, in the regional state administration I took place a press-conference dedicated to the presentation initiated by the regional Council of the regional contest of journalistic works "Reforming local government and territorial organization of power." In press conference took part the people's Deputy of Ukraine Sergey Kudlaenko, the Chairman of regional Council Anatoly Oleinik, Deputy Chairman of regional state administration – the Director of the Department of education and science of regional state administration Igor ivasjuk, the representative of the Council of Europe, Special adviser to the Government of Ukraine on decentralization Daniel Popescu, the Manager of the Council of Europe Programme "Decentralization and territorial consolidation in Ukraine" Andriy Guk. "Vinnytsia regional Council announced a contest for journalists on the coverage, analysis, promotion of decentralization, local self-government reform and territorial organization of power. We hope that journalistic objectivism, professionalism and independent opinion will help us on the path of positive change. Therefore, Vinnytsia regional Rada passed a decision on holding of the contest of journalistic works and has allocated the first tranche in the amount of 100 thousand UAH." – said Anatoly Olejnik. "I think the competition will encourage journalists to inform the public about the best practices of decentralization and positive changes that result from reform," said Igor ivasjuk. The contest is initiated by the Vinnytsia oblast Council. Methodological support is provided by the Council of Europe, in the framework of the Program "Decentralization and territorial consolidation in Ukraine" with the assistance of the people's Deputy of Ukraine Sergey, Kudlaenko. The aim of the competition is to increase awareness among the population of Vinnytsia region about the benefits and achievements of the reform of local self-government and decentralization of power, as well as about best practices, initiatives and positive changes in the development of local communities. The winners will be determined in the following nominations: "Best online publication", "Best article," "the Best radio piece, or video". Submissions will be assessed in nominations, in accordance with the type of media: online media, print media, television and radio company. In the competition ïåðåäáà÷åíî18 nagor: one first place – 10 thousand UAH. two second places – ths. and three awards for the third month -3 thousand UAH. Regional competition of journalistic works "Reforming local government and territorial organization of power" is held in the framework of the implementation of Regional programs to promote information space and civil society in Vinnytsia region for 2016-2018 to support democratic changes in Ukraine through raising awareness and commitment of the population to local government reform and decentralization of power.
