Zhytomyr increases exports of goods to EU countries
During January-November 2016 of the enterprise of Zhytomyr region 23.4% (237,7 million USD. USA) increased exports to the European Union of products of wood, plant products, electrical equipment, textile materials and products from stone, plaster and cement. This informs the Department of economic development, trade and international cooperation of the state administration. — Victor Gradowski, Deputy Director of the Department, commented: "more than 50% of export transactions is with EU countries – Poland, Italy, Germany, Romania. In January-November 2016 exports of goods to the EU was 237.7 million. while during the same period in 2015, it amounted to 181.4 m million. The problem for our businesses remain technical regulations of the EU and their certification. However, manufacturers of Zhytomyr region continue to actively and successfully navigate the process." According to him, in January 2016, PJSC "Zhytomyr butter plant" (TM Rud) was included in the list of approved exporters to the European Union to include 10 Ukrainian enterprises for the production and processing of milk. Last year the most exported wood and articles thereof – by 21.4 %, vegetable products – 17,6%, machines, equipment and mechanisms; electrical equipment – 11.8% and textiles and textile products – 10,2%, mineral products – of 9.3%, articles of stone, plaster, cement – 7,1%, base metals and articles thereof of 6.5%. Background: Among the partner countries most exported products in Germany – 12,3%, Poland – 11,2%, Romania – by 8.3%, Italy 6.0 percent.
