Zhytomyr region takes the 1st place on the dynamics of industrial production
Zhytomyr became the leader among regions of Ukraine on the index of industrial production. This was reported by head of the Department of industry, infrastructure development and tourism of Zhytomyr regional state administration Roman One. — "The rate of growth of industrial production the region took 1st place in the national ranking – here without variants. In January 2017 the index of industrial production in the region amounted to 142,7% to the corresponding period last year. Since the end of last year, we were able to overcome the 7 positions and become a leader," said Roman One. The highest growth was achieved in mining industry and quarrying (304,8% to January 2016), mechanical engineering (200,1%) and textile production (145,3%) Reference: The index of industrial production – an indicator of dynamics of industrial production, a weighted average of the corresponding individual indices for each item. The calculation is based on data about dynamics of manufacture kinds of products according to the permanent set of the representative goods and the structure of gross value added by types of industrial activity for the base year .
